Good day CrewMembers, and welcome to our Opening Night feature on Marvel's first family targeted show; "Ms. Marvel." (Updated 06/06/22)

While there hasn't been an official announcement on where Ms. Marvel will live on the Marvel Cinematic Universe Timeline, the trailers and synopsis give us plenty of evidence for a pretty good idea.
This Disney+ series focuses on Kamala Khan assuming the role of Ms. Marvel. This is going to be an origin show that follows Kamala from the beginning of her journey to superherodom. Unlike "Moon Night," the previews for this show do include some pretty specific MCU connections.
Kamala is described as an "Avengers fangirl" with Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel her chosen favorite. She's even shown marveling (had to do it) at an exhibit dedicated to Captain Marvel. Therefore, the best place to start your pre-viewing journey would be with Captain Marvel (2019).
Once you watch that, you'll notice that even though it is one of the later releases of the MCU, the story takes place earlier on, That may seem like it could leave a lot of room for where "Ms. Marvel" fits in the overall history, but this series is supposed to directly tie into the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. The cast from "Ms. Marvel" is set to return for that film, as well as Monica Rambeau from "WandaVision." Since "WandaVision" takes place post Endgame, it's pretty safe to assume "Ms. Marvel" will as well. That means we suggest watching Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame to get the rest of Captain Marvel's story.
Obviously there's a lot of history to Infinity War and Endgame, but we're just trying to give you the best base possible for this show specifically.
UPDATE 06/06/22:
With the show set in air this week, a new trailer was released! This trailer definitely cements the timeline being post Endgame and also features a returning character! The Department of Damage Control is an extension of the United States Government created to deal with the cleanup of superhuman activities. Most of their work has been behind the scenes, but they have been around since Iron Man. However, it looks like the members they are focusing on first showed up in Spider-Man No Way Home. It's probably not enough to become a "required" viewing, but the info is there if you're interested!
Opening Night Pre-viewing Checklist
Ms. Marvel
Captain Marvel (2019)
Avengers Infinity War (2018)
Avengers Endgame (2019)
Spider-Man No Way Home (2021)
*direct connections, but not required viewing
Ms. Marvel (2022)
As with other shows, we'll update a "Second Run" feature as the weeks go to offer any other programs that would be helpful to watch!
~Until then; enjoy the show!
